Share. Belong. Feel strong.

Forest

I’d like to tell you a little more about me so that you can get a feel for whether I’m right for you. Because whether you’re new to seeking therapy or you’re returning for more, entering into it can be nerve-wracking at first.

Whilst I can provide you with some introductory information, there’s nothing like sharing in a conversation to get a feel for working with another. So, if and when you’re ready, contact me and we can set up an informal chat to help you get started.

My beliefs

Being human is precious. Our naturally adaptive minds, bodies, emotions, and personalities have evolved to have limitless life-improving capacities. When we work out what is holding us back, we have the innate potential to grow, adapt and live more healthy and happy lives.

But living well is tough. We will find ourselves overwhelmed, stressed, struggling, or lost. Perhaps because of past events, present experiencing or a mixture of both. During these times, we are in need of some more precise support to get us through our hardships.

Therapy provides time and space to get a grip on the complexities of our hearts and minds. To more fully reveal our answers to life’s hardships and complexities. To live with more wellness.

My journey

Having been both troubled and fascinated by people at a young age, I became a keen ‘people-watcher’ and ever since, have remained curious and passionate about the ways which human beings can behave, learn and change.

Beginning my professional career in employee learning, development and coaching, I progressed into supporting employees through business transformation and change. Also aware of my own life struggles, connected to a personal history of ‘suffering in silence’, I did some volunteer work as a part-time counsellor in a charity.

Over time, I felt the need to feel more personally fulfilled, and desiring to help individuals in more ways, I re-qualified to become a Psychotherapist/Counsellor. And at the end of a challenging period of career change, where at times I didn’t think I’d make it through, I found a renewed sense of purpose and joy in my life.

I have arrived at a place I needed to be when I was most ready. And having been through my own journey of therapy, I know that talking, reflecting, learning and understanding more, really does work.

Using a blend of psychological theories, professional experience, ‘real-world’ strategies to help with learning and change, my personal ‘lived experiences’, I now hope to inspire others, as I have myself been inspired.

You don’t have to suffer in silence. Start your life-improving journey now.
